Job Description: The Impact You’ll Make in this Role As an Application Engineer for the Automotive Aftermarket Division, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by: Establishing and growing a network of key technical contacts for Fillers Adhesives Coatings & Sealants across European OEMs. Achieving specifications for 3M adhesive products with European automotive manufacturers. Conducting tests in 3M lab facilities and reporting data to OEM contacts. Participating in new product introduction projects and teams. Developing new systems, customer solutions, and value propositions. Performing field testing, product evaluations, and hands-on demonstrations. Collecting and analyzing voice of customer data and competitive awareness. Preparing technical communications packages and training materials. Your Skills and Expertise To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M is looking for candidates who meet following minimum requirements: Significant experience in automotive business or 3M relatable experience Excellent understanding of common automotive adhesive test methods and specifications, or similar specifications from allied industries. Good understanding of vehicle assembly and repair processes. Bachelor’s degree or higher in science or engineering from an accredited university Fluent German and English Excellent computer skills, highly proficient in MS Office Suite and statistical analysis of data using common software packages e.g. Minitab.
