About the Role:
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven General Manager to lead the operations of a 300-room, private equity-owned hotel in Berlin. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of hotel management, driving financial performance, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, and executing strategic initiatives to enhance profitability and brand positioning.
Key Responsibilities:
* Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement business strategies aligned with ownership objectives to drive revenue growth, profitability, and operational efficiency.
* Operational Excellence: Oversee all hotel departments, ensuring seamless day-to-day operations, high service standards, and compliance with brand and regulatory requirements.
* Financial Management: Drive financial performance through budget control, revenue management, and cost optimization while maximizing EBITDA.
* Commercial & Revenue Growth: Collaborate with sales, marketing, and revenue management teams to optimize occupancy, average daily rate (ADR), and revenue per available room (RevPAR).
* Guest Experience & Brand Management: Maintain and enhance guest satisfaction by ensuring exceptional service delivery and upholding brand standards.
* Team Leadership & Development: Recruit, train, and mentor a high-performing team, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and innovation.
* Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary liaison between ownership, asset managers, and operational teams to ensure strategic alignment and effective communication.
* Asset & Property Management: Oversee capital expenditure projects, maintenance programs, and sustainability initiatives to enhance asset value and operational efficiency.
* Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure adherence to legal, health & safety, and regulatory standards.
Qualifications & Experience:
* Proven experience as a General Manager or senior leadership role within a full-service or upscale hotel environment.
* Strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets, P&L, and financial reporting.
* Demonstrated ability to drive revenue growth and optimize hotel performance.
* Excellent leadership, team-building, and people management skills.
* Strong understanding of the Berlin hospitality market and competitive landscape.
* Experience working within a private equity or asset management-owned hospitality environment is highly advantageous.
* Fluent in English and German; additional languages are a plus.
