You will be responsible for delivering accurate, timely, and effective payroll and operational support to the business, while partnering with the People Services and People Partnering teams to ensure the successful delivery of the short, medium, and long-term objectives of the People function. This role will be responsible for supporting the People team in delivering a full range of payroll and people-related services that build trust, credibility, and confidence with both stakeholders and employees. Working in line with company policies and procedures, you will help ensure compliance and minimise risks to the business. You will also gain valuable exposure to payroll processes, systems, and People projects that contribute to the company’s growth and overall business plan. Initially, this role will work closely with the Northern Europe People Partner to settle into its responsibilities before moving to report to the Head of People Services. AREAS OF WORK - Germany, Austria and Poland. Coordination of monthly payroll in cooperation with our external payroll offices and provision of the necessary data and information Manage our bureau relationship and service level agreements, escalate and resolve issues. Serving as a point of contact for employee inquiries and concerns. Prepare employee lifecycle paperwork (contracts, letters, amendments contracts according to the local legislation). Manage and maintain accurate employee and payroll data via our HR, Payroll and Time Management systems daily ensuring accuracy. Coordinating with payroll offices to monitor legislative changes across Germany, Austria, and Poland and proactively assess payroll and people impact. Prepare employee lifecycle paperwork (contracts, letters, amendments). Coordinate onboarding and offboarding and right to work checks. Support the Head of People services and wider team. Identify opportunities to streamline and improve payroll operations and employee experience. Completing PO and process of payment of invoices to P&C related suppliers To support internal and external transfers of people from or to the business in line with Integrations or Acquisitions Legislation. Collaborate on various people and culture programs and initiatives. Assisting in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures. Essential: Completed training in human resources or commercial training with relevant professional experience in human resources Previous practical experience delivering payroll or people operations within a multi-site environment, large matrix organization. Strong working knowledge of relevant policies, codes of practice, and employment legislation in Germany, Austria, Poland and other European countries. At least 1 year experience in a generalist or payroll role or experience in an administrative role. Excellent written and spoken German, English. Full working knowledge of Microsoft Office and HR systems Excellent time management with the ability to prioritise workload Desirable: Experience of working within an international business Ability to communicate in another European language will be an advantage, preferably Polish HR Certifications or educational training.
