As a Senior Data Scientist at Blacklane, you will be at the forefront of our data-driven initiatives, developing and applying data science models to solve real world problems in the mobility sector. You will work closely alongside our Product & Engineering teams and build revenue-generating and cost-saving data products. As part of your role, you will interact with a wide range of business stakeholders from different countries. YOUR CHALLENGE:
1. Lead the development and end to end implementation of machine learning models (e.g. demand forecasting, pricing optimization, customer lifetime value and churn prediction models)
2. Analyze complex datasets to uncover trends, patterns, and actionable insights.
3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and translate them into data requirements.
4. Communicate findings and recommendations effectively to stakeholders at all levels.
5. Serve as a trusted expert in data science and ML, providing guidance and mentorship to other team members and fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation within the data team.
ABOUT YOU:
6. Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field.
7. 4+ years of experience in data analysis or a similar role.
8. Proficiency in modeling business problems using machine learning techniques (incl. feature engineering, choice of model, implementation and evaluation)
9. You have demonstrated the ability to manage and/or mentor less experienced team members by sharing your data science knowledge
10. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
11. You continuously learn, you are a critical thinker and creative problem solver.
12. Excellent communication and presentation skills.
