Role Overview
I am seeking an experienced and visionary Head of Cyber Security / CISO to lead both the internal security initiatives and external client engagements. In this high-impact role, you will be responsible for shaping our cyber strategy, guiding clients through complex risk environments, and growing a high-performing team of consultants.
Key Responsibilities
* Define and lead the company’s internal cybersecurity strategy and governance
* Act as the senior advisor on cybersecurity matters for key clients
* Build and manage a team of consultants delivering GRC, risk assessment, incident response, and technical security services
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align security initiatives with business goals
* Stay ahead of emerging threats, regulatory changes (e.g., NIS2, DORA), and technology trends
* Support business development by contributing to proposals, tenders, and client pitches
Requirements
* Proven experience in a senior cyber security leadership role, ideally in consultancy or advisory services
* Strong understanding of information security frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST, CIS, etc.) and regulatory requirements
* Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business advice
* Leadership experience managing and mentoring security teams
* Excellent communication skills in English; German fluency is a strong plus
* Must be based in Germany and willing to travel to Munich as needed
