What You Will Accomplish
In this role, you will:
1. Lead the Trading Cards business entirely, holding complete ownership of growth, profitability, and the primary drivers behind performance
2. Establish the strategic direction for the category and determine where to focus efforts and how to succeed, based on market dynamics, customer behavior, and competitive positioning
3. Build, lead, and elevate a high-performing team of category managers, improving ambition, ownership, and impact
4. Identify and unlock the most impactful growth opportunities across supply, demand, and buyer experience, translating them into clear priorities and measurable results
5. Act as the central decision-maker for the category, working with senior cross-functional leaders to develop priorities, influence roadmaps, and drive execution at pace
6. Strengthen eBay’s position in Trading Cards by building strategic seller partnerships and accelerating the category’s long-term growth
What You Will Bring
7. 6–10 years of relevant experience; background in top-tier strategy consulting strongly preferred. Passion for Trading Cards is a strong plus
8. Proven track record of owning and growing a business area, with clear accountability for commercial outcomes and delivery through teams
9. Strong strategic skills, with the ability to structure complex problems, define clear direction, and translate it into actionable priorities
10. Experience leading and developing high-performing teams, with a focus on raising standards and driving accountability
11. Excellent collaborator management skills, with the ability to influence senior cross-functional partners and build decisions
12. Strong analytical approach and excellent communication skills; proficient in German and English
