Head of Security Germany / Country Security Officer (mf/f/d)
Thales in Germany is part of an internationally leading technology group in the defence and security, aerospace as well as cyber security and digital identity markets.
Your mission as Head of Security Germany / Country Security Officer
1. Act as the national functional head and primary authority for all security matters concerning people, property, information, and operations in Germany
2. Ensure compliance with German laws, national classified information regulations, GDPR, and THALES Group security policies
3. Serve as officially appointed Sicherheitsbevollmächtigter (SiBe) and Geheimschutzbeauftragter for Germany
4. Conduct risk, threat, and vulnerability analyses and implement appropriate physical, organizational, and procedural security measures
5. Lead crisis management activities and continuously enhance security and resilience processes
6. Coordinate and supervise the security network across all THALES entities in Germany and ensure alignment with the Group Security Department (DSG)
7. Represent Germany in global security governance forums and act as the primary liaison with national authorities and relevant stakeholders
We are looking forward to:
8. Minimum 10 years of professional experience in a comparable senior security position within a multinational company or a governmental authority (armed forces, police, intelligence services, customs, judiciary, or economic security)
9. In-depth expertise in national classified information protection, risk management, and crisis management
10. Strong knowledge of German security regulations and defense security clearance requirements
11. Master’s degree (or equivalent) and an additional recognized qualification in security or business protection
12. Solid understanding of IS/IT systems and cyber protection principles
13. Proficiency in MS Office, MS Project, MS Visio, Power BI, and data analysis tools
14. Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills with the ability to operate under pressure in a complex, multinational environment
15. Willingness to travel frequently, including at short notice
16. Fluent German and English are mandatory; French is a strong asset
