As a Senior Manager within the Global Legal Logistics team, you will play a critical role in navigating the regulatory challenges of platform work worldwide.
About the opportunity
1. Lead the management of regulatory and legal risks related to platform work across the European Union, overseeing a team of EU employment lawyers based in multiple jurisdictions.
2. Provide high-quality employment, immigration, and commercial law support to Rider operations across EU markets.
3. Develop a deep understanding of Delivery Hero’s tech stack and delivery operations, and design pragmatic strategies to manage and mitigate legal and regulatory risks.
4. Oversee employment litigation and regulatory developments across assigned markets, ensuring senior stakeholders have clear and timely visibility of risks at local, regional, and central levels.
5. Drive continuous improvement of legal processes, reporting, and ways of working within the broader Global Legal Logistics function.
6. Support the role’s international scope by remaining flexible and available for short-notice travel (up to approximately 10%).
Qualifications
7. Fully qualified employment lawyer in an EU jurisdiction with 8+ years of post-qualification experience, including a solid background in litigation and experience advising technology-driven or platform-based businesses.
8. Proven people leadership experience, with hands-on experience leading, coaching, and developing legal professionals in complex, international environments.
9. Deep expertise in EU employment law, including hands-on experience coordinating advice across multiple EU jurisdictions and in-depth knowledge of the Platform Workers Directive.
10. Strong experience operating in matrix-structured international organizations, with a clear understanding of local, regional, and global governance, reporting, and decision-making dynamics.
11. Highly collaborative stakeholder management skills, with a demonstrated ability to influence and work effectively across functions and seniority levels, including without direct reporting lines.
12. Full professional proficiency in English (working language) and fluency in at least one additional European language, combined with a pragmatic, hands-on approach and strong sense of ownership.
