Legacy Transactor (m/f/d) at Allianz SE Reinsurance Munich
Job purpose / role
Allianz Re is a division of Allianz SE within the H9 Resort with offices in Munich, Singapore, Dublin and Zurich. Allianz Re offers reinsurance solutions and services for Allianz internal operating entities (OE) and reinsurance protection to external insurance companies and is the Group’s reinsurance vehicle which actively manages risk and capital. The posted position is based in Munich and reporting to the Head of Legacy.
Based at Allianz Re in Munich, the position will have responsibility and accountability for creating and driving legacy and capital management activities, including finality solutions, such as commutations, novations and portfolio transfers, on behalf of Allianz Re as well as other Allianz OEs.
Key responsibilities
* Collaboration: Partner with ceding entities, reinsurers, and experts to identify opportunities for commutations, novations, and portfolio transfers, optimizing portfolios operationally, economically, and capitalwise.
* DataDriven Analysis: Conduct analysis and valuation of reinsurance assets and liabilities using quantitative methods for capital and legacy solutions, including commutations, novations, and retrospective reinsurance solutions.
* Coordination: Collaborate with Capital and Legacy Solutions teams and experts from actuarial, accounting, claims, retrocession, and underwriting functions.
* Stakeholder Management: Maintain direct contacts with cedents, brokers, and reinsurers.
* Negotiation: Lead transaction negotiations with Allianz OEs and external parties, ensuring risk transfer and compliance with pricing requirements.
* Approval and Documentation: Secure necessary approvals and signoffs for transaction proposals and document transactions per current guidelines.
* Promotion and Influence: Promote legacy activities within Allianz Group and influence decisions to collaborate with the Allianz Re Legacy team.

Qualification
* University degree (master or equivalent) in business administration, economics, finance, law or mathematics.
* Additional degree / qualification (actuarial or similar) is a plus.
* Fluent in English and one other language (French, German or Spanish).
Experience & Key skills
* Experience in valuation roles within finance, (re)insurance, or related activities, with proficiency in actuarial and quantitative valuation methods and tools.
* Good understanding of (re)insurance business, operations and finance; Legacy market experience is a plus.
* Strong analytical mindset, problem-solving skills, and ability to work under pressure with a focus on results and entrepreneurial orientation.
* Profound business understanding and judgement skills.
* Proven ability to build trustful relationships with clients / other OEs or third parties.
* Excellent organizational, interpersonal, communication, presentation, and negotiation skills; ability to collaborate across functions and cultures.
* Abiilty to summarize complex analyses into management-level reports.
* Willingness to learn and share expertise with others.
* Proficiency in MS-Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); experience with AI-driven data analysis tools and techniques to enhance valuation and decision-making processes.
