Master thesis / Proekt work
as part of a research project on the topic: Occurrence and behavior of spore-forming bacteria in plant-based meat analogs
Areas of responsibility
* Independent performance of tests in well-equipped modern microbiological laboratories, documentation and evaluation
* Investigation of the germination and growth behavior of apathogenic and possibly pathogenic bacterial spores / spore-formers in meat substitute products
* Investigation of the inactivation of spores during the extrusion of plant proteins
* Support in the production of model products
* Inoculation of products with spores and microbiological analyses
Your profile
* Master's degree in Microbiology or Biotechnology, Biosciences, Biology, Food Technology with advanced knowledge of Microbiology
* Experience in handling microorganisms
* Experience with bacterial spore formers and/or pathogens or experience in protection level 2 laboratories would be beneficial
* Accurate and organized way of working as well as strong communication skills and team spirit
