Job Description
We are seeking a Systems Engineering Manager to lead our team in technology development and ISS payloads. This role involves managing small projects that require innovative solutions, allowing the successful candidate to learn and grow within the company.
The ideal candidate will have a degree in engineering or physics and professional experience in satellite design. They should possess strong self-management skills, be proactive, and able to work effectively in a team environment.
In this position, you will oversee a team of systems engineers, act as the main point of contact for technical issues, and define system requirements in collaboration with project management.
Key responsibilities include generating cost, schedule, and performance projections based on top-level system design, organizing regular checkpoints during the project, and evaluating running development and design.
You will also undertake corrective steps in case of deviations, review current design, and adjust it to meet business objectives. Additionally, you will propose changes to contractor's design activities and deliverables if necessary.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Degree in engineering or physics
* Professional experience in satellite design (advantageous)
* Self-management and proactive working style
* Ability to work in a team
* Working level proficiency in written and spoken English and German
