Key Responsibilities:
Business Intelligence (BI) Data Analysis & Analytics Specialist (f/m/d)
* Daily curation of the morning external media coverage based on relevant global reporting (print, radio, and TV formats) related to DHL Group
o Intensive and time-critical editorial quality control of the comprehensive morning media overview provided by the media agency, taking into account Group priorities (e.g., review for content relevance, completeness, correct coding)
o Organization and distribution of the morning media overview to selected Group representatives, including the CEO and the entire Board
o Daily presentation of the current media coverage in the morning meeting to international communication experts as a starting point for daily press work
o Independent management of the external media agency in day-to-day operations
* Creation of comprehensive media coverage analyses based on predefined and collected media data, including evaluation of tone, share of voice, etc., and addition of media reach metrics (e.g., potential visibility, influence) as a basis for:
o Strategic decisions by the Group Communications leadership to protect and build DHL Group’s reputation
o External positioning of selected Group representatives, especially the CEO and the entire Board
o Topic-specific communication consulting by Group Communications for the growth areas defined in Strategy 2030
* Identification and continuous monitoring of relevant media (traditional and digital) as part of the Group’s internal early warning system for rapid escalation of potentially reputation-damaging coverage to relevant stakeholders (from Board level to individual departments)
* Definition of meaningful KPIs and creation of ad-hoc reports on specific topics for key Group representatives
* Conducting media research, if necessary in collaboration with the Group archive, to provide media content
* Continuous development of options enabled by Generative AI for data collection and media analysis
o Ongoing management of the global external agency and submission/evaluation of internal and external proposals for renewal of media monitoring and analysis
o Conceptualization and implementation of a self-service access point for Group Communications representatives, including user training and consulting on interpretation and evaluation of collected data
Professional Requirements:
* Completed university degree in economics, business administration, communication sciences, or a comparable qualification
* Several years of professional experience in related fields, ideally in international companies or organizations
* Experience in conducting data analyses and preparing analytical results for management, especially in complex communication topics
* Basic understanding of media channels and their interaction between traditional external media (print & online) and social media
* Very good understanding of the Group, its topics, and priorities
* Excellent user skills in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint
* Excellent German and English skills, both written and spoken
