At the moment, we are looking for top performers to lead a web engineering department (30 people). Ideally, people who are experienced in web platforms (ideally some form of a marketplace or eCommerce)
Overseeing an engineering department of 30+ people and being responsible for coaching & mentoring technical team leads.
Work closely with the Director of Engineering and CTO to oversee the optimal use of resources across the cross-functional teams, monitor & improve performance & set best practice definitions.
Responsible for the secure operation and further development of the platform / online shop
You will have a significant impact on the business to define and improve the existing and future software engineering team and agile team set-up. Inspiring the team to grow more self-organised, setting up technical roadmaps and supporting the Director of Engineering in developing the technology strategy.
Strong track record of people leadership & coaching qualities in an agile and digital environment - ideally, larger engineering teams 20+
Know how to shape a software engineering (web) department on the cultural, practice and process level.
Strong Engineering Background, with 8yrs+ experience. It is critical that you have a previous expert level of knowledge on the frontend (JavaScript, HTML, CSS etc).
Fluent English. German would be a bonus
Permanent employment basis, full-time in Bavaria, possible share options with some flexible home office or remote options
Salary Range - 90,000 - 110,000 EUR (depending on experience) and further benefits
