Adobe’s Public Sector Sales team is rapidly growing in Germany. We seek an entrepreneurial Public Sector Lead to spearhead this expansion. As the first Manager Account Executive for the German Public Sector, you will define the go-to-market strategy, pinpoint key accounts, and conduct sales engagements.

This position needs a special mix of big-picture strategy and practical sales work, plus a deep grasp of the Public Sector Market in Germany. You must understand how RFPs function and know the Public Sector Structure well. You will grow Adobe’s influence in the German public sector, collaborating with both inside and outside partners to provide value to government entities with Adobe’s top Digital Experience solutions.

Lead a virtual team of professionals in various fields and ensure their alignment and motivation.

What you'll Do

1. Serve as the founding AE Manager for Public Sector in Germany, responsible for developing and driving Adobe’s go-to-market strategy in this vertical.
2. Build and manage a strategic customer patch across federal, state, and local government entities.
3. Drive daily, monthly, and quarterly sales activities, including pipeline generation, opportunity management, and deal closure.
4. Develop and implement strategic account plans to generate net new revenue and expand existing relationships.
5. Collaborate with and lead a virtual team of individuals across solution consulting, digital strategy, product specialists, marketing, and customer success.
6. Engage with partners and system integrators to build a growing and collaborative ecosystem.
7. Represent Adobe in the German public sector market, including participation in industry events, marketing campaigns, and public relations activities.
8. Demonstrate strong solution selling capabilities, aligning Adobe’s offerings with the digital transformation goals of public sector organizations.
9. Build and establish a network within the Public Sector at the highest levels.
10. Answer RFPs.

What you need to succeed

11. Proven experience in enterprise software sales, ideally with a focus on the German public sector.
12. Strong understanding of the German public sector landscape, including procurement processes, compliance, and digital transformation initiatives.
13. Track record of achieving/exceeding sales quota and market share goals in a complex, consultative sales environment.
14. Experience in building a new vertical or territory from scratch, with a strategic and entrepreneurial approach.
15. Ability to sell to senior collaborators, including C-level executives and digital transformation leaders in government.
16. Excellent networking, communication, and negotiation skills (verbal and written) in both German and English.
17. Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
18. Ambitious, focused, and determined, with a passion for public sector innovation and customer success.
