Director / Senior Manager, Commercial Development (m/f/d) to join UPM Biorefining. The Director / Senior Manager, Commercial Development, is a key position to provide the framework for this.
In Biorefining, we are working across many value chains – fuels, rubbers, plastics, chemicals, packaging, agro – where we create value with sustainable products and solutions. We are looking for a commercial development manager or director to provide the right support on where we play, how we play, value, and a framework for stringent execution in go-to-market, pricing, and conversion of leads and market opportunities into profitable sales. – Manage transparency toward pricing decisions and support Sales Directors to drive stringent pricing strategies, including value pricing, transactional pricing, and management of risks related to supply-side market exposure
Support the strategy development process from a commercial perspective
Maintain and align key capabilities of the commercial team and coordinate training opportunities in cooperation with HR and line managers
Minimum of 7 years of experience in management consulting or commercial roles establishing and implementing commercial structures
Strong background in strategic marketing, customer development, value proposition design, pricing strategy, and risk management in commercial decision-making
Fluency in English; additional languages such as Finnish, German, or Chinese are considered an asset
