Overview

Are you passionate about putting the customer at the heart of everything you do? As a Services Account Executive (SAE) in our Services Sales Team, you’ll play a pivotal role in redefining how we deliver value through services.

You’ll act as a trusted advisor, guiding organisations to unlock the full potential of the Microsoft Services portfolio and achieve meaningful business outcomes. As a Services Account Executive, you are responsible for proactively selling the entire Services portfolio, including high value reactive and proactive support services and transformational consulting engagement and projects.

In this role, you’ll work closely with customers to understand their strategic goals, co-create tailored service solutions, and help them realise their ambitions. Your ability to build trust, foster long-term relationships, and elevate the customer experience will be key to your success.

Qualifications

1. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Information Technology (IT), or a related discipline
2. Proofed experience in technology, consulting, or support sales involving enterprise clients
3. Exceptional leadership and collaboration skills, with proven ability to balance multiple priorities
4. Outstanding communication and stakeholder management capabilities
5. Track record of effectively handling complex customer discussions and escalations while maintaining professionalism and trust
6. Demonstrated ability to drive customer value and deliver positive business results
7. Experience in managing sophisticated sales cycles and pre-sales activities
8. Knowledge of Microsoft and/or industry-specific cloud solutions

In line with our Flexible Work approach, for roles at Microsoft Germany, we recommend spending at least two days per week in the office or at the customer site.

Responsibilities

9. Own the full sales cycle, from lead generation and qualification to deal closure, while driving cloud consumption through sold services and project engagements.
10. Act as a trusted advisor by applying consultative selling techniques to uncover customer needs, shape transformational opportunities, and unlock new business potential.
11. Use BV/TCO analysis to link customer conversations to business outcomes and build a business case.
12. Drive adoption and strategic deployment of Microsoft Services by proactively engaging with executive stakeholders.
13. Lead the Microsoft Services virtual account team to bring customer visions to life through consultative selling, active listening, and continuous planning.
14. Collaborate effectively with the wider account sales and delivery teams to identify potential service opportunities and enhance customer value throughout every stage of the sales process.
15. Work together with customers and partners, using resources from different industries, to solve customer challenges and drive our AI transformation goals through joint innovation.
16. Develop a portfolio plan to manage your assigned territory and implement a targeted sales approach to boost services revenue and cloud usage.
17. Ensure operational excellence by effectively coordinating and managing your sales pipeline.
