YOUR CHALLENGE
We are seeking an experienced Commercial Director (all gender) to join our team at Maritim Hotels Mauritius. The portfolio includes:
* Maritim Resort & Spa Mauritius
* Welnest (Apartments, Penthouses & Villas)
* Jacaranda (Villas)
* La Reserve (Apartments, Penthouses)
The role involves developing and executing the commercial strategy, managing revenue growth, increasing market share, and enhancing brand reputation within Mauritius. We offer an attractive remuneration, a dynamic environment, and opportunities for growth.
Objectives of the role
* Develop and implement commercial strategies aligned with company goals.
* Lead sales, marketing, revenue management, and distribution teams.
* Identify new business opportunities and build stakeholder relationships.
* Negotiate high-value deals and contracts.
* Manage the commercial budget and resources.
* Foster high performance and continuous improvement.
* Report on performance and strategic insights to senior management.
* Monitor market trends and competitor activities.
Your tasks
* Manage and mentor the commercial team.
* Conduct market research and analysis.
* Develop growth, sales, and marketing plans.
* Maintain relationships with clients and partners.
* Prepare presentations and proposals.
* Analyze performance metrics and adjust strategies.
* Set pricing strategies to maximize profitability.
* Collaborate with finance, business development, and operations.
YOUR SKILLS
Required skills and qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or related.
* At least 10 years of experience in business development or commercial management, with roles like Commercial or Sales Director.
* Proven success in market analysis, strategic planning, and revenue growth.
* Strong understanding of market dynamics, especially in the Indian context.
* Skills in market research, data analysis, financial forecasting, and budgeting.
* Leadership and team management skills.
* Strategic thinking and SOP development.
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
* Data-driven decision-making abilities.
* Multilingual in German, English, and French (verbal and written).
* Ability to work independently and in teams in a fast-paced environment.
* Knowledge of at least 3 key markets (UK, DACH, France, UAE, Saudi Arabia, India).
Preferred skills and qualifications
* Master’s degree in Business or related.
* Relevant certifications (e.g., CSP, CIM).
* Knowledge of digital marketing, CRM, and sales analytics tools.
* Financial forecasting and budget management skills.
