A leading engineering group in Germany is hiring a Procurement Excellence Lead to drive digital transformation and broader procurement excellence initiatives across the organisation.
You’ll partner with senior leadership and global teams to roll out scalable systems, harmonise processes, and deliver measurable impact through automation, analytics, and lean methodologies.
Key Responsibilities
* Design and implement a global procurement excellence framework – including KPI dashboards, maturity models, and process governance structures.
* Map, optimise, and digitise end-to-end procurement processes (Source-to-Contract, Procure-to-Pay) using tools like SAP S/4HANA, Ariba, and Power BI.
* Act as process owner for procurement workflows and support local teams during audits, performance reviews, and compliance checks.
* Drive cross-functional cost reduction, supplier performance improvement, and risk mitigation projects through data-driven strategies.
* Support the deployment of eProcurement tools, robotic process automation (RPA), and AI-based spend analytics.
* Define and lead capability building programs and training initiatives across the procurement organisation.
Your Profile
* Strong background in procurement, supply chain, or operations — ideally with a focus on process optimisation, transformation, or shared services.
* Hands-on experience with SAP MM, Ariba, or S/4HANA — plus bonus points for experience with BI tools, RPA, or process mining (e.g. Celonis).
* Proven track record in leading cross-functional projects and building scalable frameworks in industrial, automotive, or engineering environments.
* Analytical thinker with excellent communication skills — able to translate complex data into action.
* Fluent in German and English (both required)
* Degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Informatics, Supply Chain Management, or similar.
