Join us as a Lab Technician (m/f/d) in our site in Mannheim Germany. Purpose of the Job: The tasks of the lab technicians in the systems test laboratory include construction, commissioning and maintaining of the onboard train protection systems for the various projects. This includes all activities necessary for the operation of the system test laboratory around the real train protection system and the necessary simulation. The activities are wide-ranging and cover hardware, software and documentation of the test systems. Responsabilities: Installation, testing and commissioning of new test systems for the onboard train protection systems Integration and commissioning of new functionalities and systems in the system test laboratory Error analysis and troubleshooting of test systems (train protection systems and test equipment) Planning and execution of maintenance work for the existing test systems Support in the design, planning and documentation of new test systems Support in the introduction and implementation of new techniques and technologies Support in the introduction and use of new HW and SW tools for the test equipment Support of the testers in carrying out special function tests Implementation of laboratory training (EHS) Qualifications: University of applied sciences degree in technical field, state-certified technician/master or equivalent Good knowledge of signalling technology and train control systems would be an advantage Strong technical understanding in dealing with hardware and software Basic knowledge of network technology Ability to communicate and work in a team Independent work and organization Commitment and flexibility Fluent written and spoken German skills Good written and spoken English skills Good knowledge with MS-Office We thank all applicants for their interest, however, only those under consideration will be contacted.
