About the Role We are hiring an HR Solution Analyst – Germany Payroll (m/f/d) for a leading global organization in the chemical industry. In this role, you will be responsible for the accurate and timely processing of monthly payroll in accordance with legal, collective, and company-specific regulations. You will work closely with the TR & Payroll Operations Leader EMEAI and the HR Solutions Team to ensure seamless payroll and personnel administration processes. This position requires a strong understanding of payroll operations, German tax and social security laws, and the ability to work independently within a collaborative HR environment. Key Responsibilities Manage and process monthly payroll for employees at the Leverkusen site in coordination with external payroll providers. Ensure accuracy, compliance, and timeliness of all payroll-related activities. Act as the technical and advisory contact for managers and employees on payroll, time management, and compensation matters. Oversee statutory and social insurance correspondence, and support audits and regulatory reviews. Collaborate with HRIS teams to maintain and improve payroll interfaces in Workday and related systems. Support month-end and year-end closing activities, including reconciliations and personnel cost reporting. Participate in local and global HR projects and contribute to process improvements across the payroll function. Requirements Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or Economics, or certification as a Payroll Accountant / Tax Clerk with proven payroll experience. Several years of experience in payroll accounting, ideally in an international chemical or manufacturing environment. Strong knowledge of German income tax, social security, and labour law. Proficiency with payroll systems and time management programs (Workday and SAGE experience is a plus). Excellent Excel and MS Office skills. Fluent German and good English communication skills. Detail-oriented, analytical, and capable of working independently with a structured, service-oriented mindset. Preferred Qualifications Experience in shift allowance calculations and chemical industry collective agreements. Familiarity with international HR and payroll processes.
