Role Overview
Samsung SDS Smart Logistics (part of the Korean multinational Samsung Group) was founded in 2012 and is one of the fastest-growing logistics service providers in the world. As an innovative logistics service provider, we offer our customers optimized logistics solutions and consulting in the area of supply chain management (SCM) based on our in-house platform Cello. Samsung SDS Smart Logistics operates in 40 countries worldwide and employs more than 4,500 logistics experts.
We are currently looking for a Transport Coordinator for our location in Bodenheim.
Key Responsibilities
* Organization of transports according to customer requirements, both as groupage freight and direct shipments
* Booking and monitoring of CEP (Courier, Express, and Parcel) services
* Monitoring of timely execution of transports
* Communication with the sender / recipient of goods as well as the freight forwarders used
* Daily transport status updates to the customer
* Handling of complaints
* Invoice verification
* Preparation of weekly reports on completed transports (KPIs)
Requirements
* Completed commercial vocational training, e.g., as an office or industrial clerk, preferably as a "Freight Forwarding and Logistics Services Clerk" or similar
* Professional experience in the shipping of industrial products desired, ideally also in a logistics or forwarding-related environment
* Good knowledge of MS Office
* Experience with a transport management system and task-specific software solutions is an advantage
* Willingness to learn
* Very good German skills (at least C1 level) and English skills (at least B1 level) required; additional foreign languages are an advantage
