Join our team as Research Associates (m/f/d) in the research area of material simulation and AI-based modelling full-time (39.2 hr/week), fixed term for two years.

* remuneration based the federal collective bargaining agreement (TV-L), pay group 13 (from EUR 4,630 per month full-time), annual payment, company pension scheme
* support for personal further qualification as part of a doctorate (Dr.-Ing.) in cooperation with the University of Bremen

We need your expertise for:
* independent project work in the newly founded research area of "Digital Technologies" with a focus on computer-aided high-throughput methods and AI-supported model development
* presentation of scientific results at international conferences and in publications
* support in teaching at the University of Bremen
* participation in the acquisition of third-party funded projects
What we expect from you:
* successfully completed studies in engineering or natural sciences
* expertise in materials science and materials engineering, in particular methods of computational material science (e.g. DFT, CALPHAD)
* programming skills, e.g. Python
* basic knowledge of data mining and machine learning
