To meet the challenge of protecting the world's forests, we are seeking an engaged Legal Counsel Corporate & Compliance to join our Legal Department. The team supports all legal and compliance aspects of the FSC Group, advising FSC's management and departments in daily business affairs.

1. We are looking for a generalist with special interest in corporate, labor, contract, and commercial law, as well as compliance with an international orientation.
">
2. The role involves supporting various legal matters in close cooperation with other legal team members and having a direct reporting line to the Senior Legal Counsel.
">
3. You will be confident to cooperate with different stakeholders to reach practical and service-oriented solutions.
">
">
* Supporting existing and developing new legal compliance programs, e.g., corporate, tax, labor, antitrust, data protection, and other regulatory compliance applicable to an international NGO.
">
* Ensuring Compliance requirements are properly understood by all departments of the FSC Group through regular training and dissemination of relevant regulatory notifications.
">
* Drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and co-approving various contracts for the FSC Group.
">
* Supporting prosecution false claims cases conducted by certificate holders and dispute resolution cases in close cooperation with the System Integrity Unit at FSC.
">
* Supporting regular reviews of FSC's organizational model and close support to FSC's subsidiaries.
">
* Providing counsel on labor law-related topics in close cooperation with FSC's HR Department.
">
* Preparing legal assessment reports and carrying out research activities.

Requirements
">
">
* University degree in law. For lawyers educated in Germany: Second State Examination.
">
* Minimum three years of professional experience as practicing attorney in a law firm or in-house counsel in a legal department of an international organization.
">
* Experience in dealing with authorities, clients, courts, and law firms.
">
* Fluency in English and German (spoken and written). Spanish and/or French is a strong advantage.
">
* Quick cognitive ability and good time management skills to perform well while handling several functions.
">
* Service-oriented attitude to work focusing on solving legal challenges with diligence, accuracy, and pragmatism.
">
* Proven ability to plan and organize work proactively. Experience in project management is a big plus.
">
* Good skills in standard software packages, particularly MS Office 365, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
">
* Experience with Dynamics 365, MS SharePoint, MS Vision, and MS Project is helpful.
">
* Ability to work as a team player in a multi-cultural, inter-disciplinary, and multi-lingual team.
">
