Taylor Root has been exclusively retained by a leading multinational industrial group to appoint a (Senior) Legal Counsel to join its European legal function.

The Role
As part of a highly skilled legal team, you will work closely with the General Counsel and collaborate with colleagues across Europe. You will act as a trusted advisor to the business on a broad range of commercial, regulatory, and operational matters, supporting major industrial activities and strategic projects.
This position is ideal for a commercially minded lawyer who enjoys navigating sophisticated legal challenges, partnering with senior stakeholders, and contributing to large‑scale industrial and transformation initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
* Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial, procurement, capex, energy, and long‑term industrial contracts.
* Advise on real‑estate matters relating to industrial land, production facilities, and infrastructure.
* Provide guidance on regulatory, environmental, energy‑related, and operational legal risks.
* Support cross‑border projects, partnerships, joint ventures, and strategic transactions across several European jurisdictions.
* Manage and coordinate external counsel, ensuring quality and cost control.
* Oversee litigation, arbitration, and administrative proceedings within your remit.
* Contribute to legal training, template development, playbooks, and digitalisation initiatives.
* Promote strong governance, legal risk management, and adherence to group policies.
Your Profile
* 8-10+ years of experience in commercial law, ideally with exposure to sales, procurement, and industrial contracting.
* Background in an international law firm or a global industrial/technology‑driven organisation .
* Experience coordinating complex, multi‑jurisdictional projects or transactions.
* Interest or experience in adjacent areas such as corporate, insolvency, real estate, or regulatory law .
* Full German legal qualification (two state exams), with at least one passed with distinction.
* Fluent in English ; strong drafting skills in both English and German.
* A proactive, hands‑on mindset with the ability to analyse and solve complex issues.
* Strong communication skills, stakeholder management, and the ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, international environment.
