Meent is assisting Hyundai Motorsport in the recruitment of its PR & Communication Manager on a permanent contract.
Established on 19 December 2012, Hyundai Motorsport GmbH (HMSG) is responsible for Hyundai’s global motorsport activities, including WEC, WRC, Formula E and Customer Racing.
Role
Hyundai Motorsport is seeking an experienced and dynamic PR & Communication to cover our programs with a focus on our FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) program, incl. The prestigious 24 Hours of Le Mans, WRC and Formula E. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in motorsport Environment.
The PR & Communications Team Leader is responsible for developing and executing integrated communication strategies to enhance brand equity and foster loyalty among fans and sponsors. This role serves as the strategic lead in managing media relations, navigating complex stakeholder interests, and protecting the team’s reputation through proactive crisis management, ensuring that on-track performance translates into measurable business value.
* Develop, implement and manage our social media strategy ;
* Manage and monitor social media content, using your knowledge of the sport/motorsport industry ;
* Measure the success of each social media campaign and ensure continuous reporting on all social media topics ;
* Engage campaigns with industry professionals and influencers via social media in order to position our channels as a successful and engaging platform within the social media ;
* Stay up to date with the latest social media best practices and technologies ;
* Demonstrate your project management skills and collaborate with internal, and external social media partners (drivers, series promoters, sponsors).
* Bachelor’s degree in communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field ;
* Preferred: Master’s degree or professional certifications in Strategic Communications or Sports Management.
Experience
* Minimum 8–12 years of experience in PR, corporate communications, or agency roles ;
* At least 3–5 years in a leadership/management position, overseeing a team and budget ;
* Industry Experience: Proven track record in Motorsports, Automotive, or High-Performance Sports industries is highly preferred ;
* Experience in managing international media events and navigating the VIP/Paddock environment.
Skills & Qualifications
* Strategic Thinking: Ability to transform complex technical race data into engaging stories for a general audience ;
* Crisis Leadership: Exceptional judgment and calmness under pressure, especially during live race events ;
* Professional-level English (essential for international racing series and global sponsor relations) ;
* Preferred as well a professional-level French (essential for international racing series) ;
* Stakeholder Management: Ability to influence and negotiate with drivers, team principals, and C-level executives of sponsoring brands ;
* Digital Literacy: Deep understanding of social media algorithms, digital trends, and content performance analytics.
