MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Director Finance, EMEA to take full ownership of all finance activities across our fast-growing regional business. Reporting to the Director (Overseas) Finance and the General Manager, EMEA, this key leadership role oversees all financial operations, ensures compliance, and drives performance across multiple countries. The ideal candidate combines strong technical expertise with the ability to develop scalable structures, provide strategic guidance, and build high-performing teams across diverse geographies.
* Lead all finance operations across EMEA, including Accounting, Reporting, SOX, Audit, Tax, Transfer Pricing, Payroll, FP&A, Treasury, and Cash Management.
* Develop and execute regional financial strategies aligned with global goals.
* Identify risks, implement mitigation measures, and ensure strong internal controls.
* Provide strategic financial guidance to HQ, senior management, and regional teams to support sound decision-making and profitability.
* Prepare and present annual operating plans and monthly results to senior management, building credibility across the organization.
* Manage relationships with banks, auditors, tax authorities, and other external stakeholders.
* Ensure compliance with local financial regulations, tax laws, and company policies across all EMEA entities.
* Drive seamless collaboration between regional operations and Chinese headquarters.
* Build and scale the Finance organization, continuously improving processes and efficiency.
* Partner with cross-functional teams to enhance financial performance and deliver cost savings.
* Lead and develop a Finance team across Germany, Spain, South Africa, and the United Kingdom, fostering a culture of high performance and collaboration.
COMPETENCIES
* Degree (master level preferred) in applicable field of finance/business
* Several years of relevant experience in comparable role in multinational companies
* Several years of financial responsibility and leadership experience
* In-depth knowledge of financial planning, analysis, and reporting, as well as accounting principles and practices
* Strong understanding of local financial regulations, tax laws, and compliance requirements
* Power user in SAP R/3, S/4HANA FI, and SD, or similar ERP systems
* High reliability and a sense of responsibility
* Strong analytical skills
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
* Fluency in English and German
