THE ROLE We are looking for a new person to join our IT department, adding some extra value. In this position you’ll be responsible for supporting all employees with their daily IT requests, maintaining the office network, the company’s IT systems, and working on our self-defined Projects. As a Team Lead Onsite IT, you will be responsible for resolving any IT-related faults efficiently, including complex systems, and also take over the Team Lead position in the IT department. THE ONSITE IT TEAM The Onsite IT Team is responsible for all topics regarding the office and employees. One of our main focuses is to support everyone so they can deliver good work. WHAT YOU’LL DO Ensure day-to-day IT operations for our colleagues in Berlin, Zürich, and remote Make sure that our office network runs smoothly Assist with hardware problems and orders (incl. desktop/laptop systems, printers, accessories) Define and document new processes and best practices Manage onboarding and offboarding for newcomers and freelancers, ensuring all IT systems and accounts are set up or decommissioned as needed; You’ll make sure that our new employees will have a good start, feeling at home since their very first day Process and track IT purchase requests for devices, accessories, and software subscriptions Taking care of daily IT requests and providing support for our employees Prepare and monitor IT budget, incl. Tool landscape Review and approve IT-/tool-related Invoices Oversee the delivery, setup, and inventory of IT equipment Automate business processes using tools like n8n Advise on and implement security best practices, including secure access to sensitive systems Act as a point of contact for IT-related queries from all departments Coordinate with other teams (Finance, HR, Engineering) to support cross-functional projects and initiatives Working on projects within the IT support area, while bringing in your own ideas to improve the whole IT experience Taking care of the IT Team and managing all IT Projects WHAT YOU'LL BRING Around 5 years of experience as a Senior IT Admin or 2 years as an IT Team Lead Proven experience in IT support, infrastructure management, or a similar technical support role Strong knowledge of hardware (laptops, phones, accessories), software (Google Workspace, Jira, Confluence, Slack, etc.), and IT asset management Familiarity with procurement processes and vendor management for IT equipment and software Hands-on experience with process automation tools (e.g., n8n, workflow automation in Jira) Understanding of IT security best practices (e.g. secure access, SSO, APIs) Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across hardware and software Advanced knowledge of Windows, MacOS, Linux, as well as mobile OS like iOS and Android Experience leading or coordinating IT projects or small teams Experience with scripting languages (Bash & Python) Positive and self-motivated individual who can complete tasks independently while working very well in a team and enjoys helping others naturally Previous experience of working with Google Workspace, MDM Solutions (like Mosyle & NinjaOne), Atlassian Jira/Confluence and Ubiquiti Networks Fluent spoken and written English language skills and good German language skills What we are also using: Slack, 1Password, n8n, Snipe-IT, Miro, Jira Servicedesk, AWS WHY JOIN US?
