The Department of Biohybrid and Medical Textiles at the Institute of Applied Medical Engineering focuses on developing tissue-engineering solutions to address clinical needs and provide models for basic research. The Respiratory Tissue Engineering Group is a young, motivated, interdisciplinary, and international team working together to advance complex in vitro modeling.
Project/Topic In the REVEAL project, we are developing an advanced in vitro airway model to investigate the mechanisms underlying the onset and manifestation of neuronal hypersensitivity in chronic cough. We’re seeking a passionate postdoctoral researcher eager to shape the future of organ-on-a-chip technology and respiratory tissue engineering. Your work will involve topics such as airway tissue engineering, primary cell and iPSC generation, culture, and differentiation, all aimed at creating a sophisticated 3D model with real-world impact.
