Overview Logistics Engineer Location: Kiel, Germany 12-month contract freelance We are looking for an experienced Logistics Engineer to support the relaunch of an engine manufacturing plant in Kiel. This is a hands-on project role focused on designing and implementing efficient material flow, storage, and line-side logistics for a complex manufacturing environment. You will play a key role in ensuring that components of all sizes are correctly planned, stored, delivered, and available at point of use to support smooth production ramp-up. What You'll Be Doing Designing end-to-end material flow from warehouse to production line Defining kitting, storage, and line-side solutions for small, medium, and large components Establishing standard work and logistics processes Working closely with Manufacturing Engineering to align logistics with build sequence Supporting equipment sizing, packaging solutions, and inventory risk processes What We're Looking For Degree in Industrial Engineering, Logistics, Supply Chain, or Manufacturing Engineering Strong experience with PFEP and material planning in manufacturing Proven background in line-side logistics, kitting, and material flow design Hands-on experience in production or engine/manufacturing environments Ability to work independently in a project-driven, fast-paced setting If you enjoy building practical solutions, improving efficiency, and supporting large-scale manufacturing projects, we would like to hear from you.
