Domain Data Owner*
in Bonn
The position is to be filled as soon as possible, with an unlimited contract duration. Employment location will be Bonn, Germany. Home Office/Remote work is an option in coordination with your Teamlead.
We are the fairly new Data Analytics & AI (D&A) team. In collaboration with colleagues from all areas of our organization, we develop solutions and approaches in the big cosmos Advanced Analytics. We want to promote data-based learning and thinking in all areas of the organization in order to best meet the challenges of our time. Your opportunity: You can be actively involved in gaining fascinating insights from our data and thus building an organization-wide Cloud Central Data Hub as an analytics platform. You will be part of a dedicated, innovative team that drives data-driven decisions and always keeps the purposes of our organization in mind. Our challenges as an NGO are special: Your stakeholders may be part of the donor service in Bonn or project managers in our 37 project countries. Abroad, hurdles such as power cuts or a lack of internet connections can make data collection difficult. It's not always easy, but it is challenging. Are you up for it? Your responsibilities
1. You hold the reins: In the activities of the Marketing department, you keep an eye on the data flows and ensure a cross-system, holistic understanding of Welthungerhilfe private donor data
2. You are a visionary: In exchange with stakeholders, you conceptualize the future of data in the Marketing department, identify priorities and set impulses for new future-oriented applications
3. You enable not only futuristic, but also reliable analyses/projects: You define the data quality standards and processes together with the domain experts and ensure compliance with them - e.g. through a data glossary and department training courses
4. You ensure the implementation of data protection requirements and guarantee that all data protection regulations are complied with
5. You support the department in the development of new measures, channels and donor journeys with your knowledge of data flow requirements to ensure smooth data integration
6. You guide colleagues from the Marketing department, set standards for the use of your products and solutions and, like everyone in the team, are a data ambassador for the organization
7. You drive exciting and challenging advanced analytics projects independently, taking an exploratory approach and leveraging potential
8. You are willing to pass on your experience to junior colleagues and domain experts

10. You are customer-oriented, proactive and communicative, have high quality standards and both enjoy and have experience in conceptual work

12. You have a goal- and result-oriented and independent way of working and a high degree of autonomy
13. You are not afraid to make decisions and delegate specific tasks: you actively and transparently involve your stakeholders in your communication
14. Thanks to your quick comprehension and strong analytical thinking skills, you are also open to new tasks
15. You enjoy working in a team and expressing your opinion
16. You have a master's degree in business administration/economics with a focus on analytics, (business) computer science, data science, (business) mathematics, software engineering or similar
17. Experience with the Azure tool stack, MS PowerBI and knowledge of SQL would make it easier for you to get started
18. Ideally, you are already familiar with common CRM systems such as Salesforce
19. You enjoy extracting insights from data that add value to the organization
20. You are fluent in English and can communicate in German, as Welthungerhilfe works in almost 40 countries in addition to Germany - French is not a must, but a plus
