As part of Acuity Analytics’ global Legal function, the role will encompass multi-jurisdictional (more specifically DACH region) legal responsibilities spanning across commercial contracts, negotiations (alongside requisite business understanding) to close business, contract management (filing, versioning etc). The role will require cross-jurisdictional coordination.
Key responsibilities
* Draft, review, and negotiate a broad range of commercial contracts including Master Service Agreement, Statement Of Work, NDAs, and vendor contracts including for technology and AI.
* Lead negotiations, advise on legal risks, develop mitigation strategies and administer complex contracts for the organization.
* Support contract lifecycle management by maintaining accurate version control, filing executed documents, and ensuring contract databases and trackers are kept up- to date.
* Assist in monitoring German and EU regulatory requirements, including GDPR, GmbH corporate law and contribute to internal stakeholder guidance as required.
* Collaborate with the global legal team on cross-jurisdictional matters and group-level policies.
* Support the review and maintenance of GDPR compliant contractual mechanisms including DPAs, SCCs, Article 28 processor agreements, and cross-border data transfer mechanisms, in coordination with the senior legal team
Key competencies
* Law Degree (LLB, LLM, or equivalent) with demonstrable knowledge of German and EU law.
* Fluency in German: Native or C2 proficiency
* Fluency in English: Native or C2 proficiency
* Skilled in redlining and managing counterparty negotiations
* Commercial acumen in tech/AI contracts
* Cross- jurisdictional collaboration
* General infosec legal awareness
* Knowledge of data privacy, regulatory compliance will be an added advantage
