To strengthen our team, we are looking for a Field Service Engineer for GCMS in the Hamburg area (m/f/d) to join us.
Communication skills, creativity and a positive attitude are crucial in this regard. By helping customers solve their problems and demonstrating a commitment to providing the highest level of customer service, you contribute to our customers' success.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide on-site installation, implementation, maintenance, and repair of GCMS systems, including hardware, software, networking products, and operating systems
2. Install, configure, optimize, and troubleshoot integrated solutions (hardware, software, peripherals, communications, and applications) to ensure optimal performance
3. Diagnose and resolve technical issues, perform preventive maintenance, and proactively address potential equipment or software problems to minimize customer downtime
4. Deliver fully integrated solutions (non-design role) and ensure high customer satisfaction through technical guidance and support
5. Act as a technical resource internally, manage product escalations, and collaborate with cross-functional teams (Support, Sales, Marketing, and R&D) to resolve customer issues
6. Comply with all customer/vendor credentialing, identification, certification, and health and safety requirements to access customer sites

Qualifications

7. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemical, Biochemical, or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent qualification)
8. Early-career professional or postgraduate, eager to build a career in field service and customer-facing technical support
9. Fluent in both German and English, with strong communication skills
10. Valid driver’s license
11. Flexible and willing to travel (up to 35%), including overnight stays, to support customers on-site
