Director Accounting & Tax (m/f/x)
As our Director Accounting & Tax at kununu you are responsible for laying the foundation of operational excellence in our accounting and tax processes. Reporting to the VP Finance, you will oversee the
accuracy and compliance of financial reporting and ensuring effective management of company's financial resources. In addition, this position will ensure the integrity of financial information,
maintain compliance with accounting standards, and optimize tax strategies. #kununujob
Your Tasks
* Administration and implementation of reporting, tax, and internal control systems
* Accounting & statutory reporting, as well as consolidation responsibility within the kununu group
* Accounting responsibility (general ledger, accounts payable & receivable, banks)
Responsibility for the continuous improvement of the closing and consolidation process, as well as tax processes
* Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes to produce consistent and dependable financial data
* Develop tax strategies to minimize liabilities while adhering to legal requirements
* Coordinate external partners (e.g., tax advisors, auditors, and banks), as well as internal departments
* Further development of existing and future employees
* Establish robust internal controls to protect company assets and ensure data integrity
Your Skills
* Graduate degree in finance, business admin., accounting, or a comparable field
* Experience of leadership in finance roles
* Progressive experience in business and personnel management functions, with a minimum of 10 years
* Extensive experience in accounting and tax management, with proficiency in HGB and IFRS standards
* Strong business orientation ability to understand and explain business results and translate them into financial consequences
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to provide actionable insight
* Excellent leadership and communication skills, capable of working collaboratively across functions
