As a COIu202fu202fCommissioning Manageru202fyou will perform a key role in delivering the core infrastructure and foundational technologies for Microsoft's online services including Bing, Office 365, Xbox, OneDrive, and the Microsoft Azure platform. You will execute against scope, schedule, and budget to deliver the latest generation of data centre technology to Microsoftu2019s Online Services. Responsibilities Business Processesu202fu202fu202f Primary responsibility for NRW, Germany & EMEA region commissioning projects.u202fu202f Create and/oru202fmaintainu202fbest practices tou202fidentifyu202fand incorporate quality and cost-effective solutions.u202fu202f Manage the contracted Commissioning Agent assigned to Data Center construction projects. Construction site inspections to review QA/QC and commissioning process.u202fu202f Drive the project Commissioning process including scope and schedule.u202fu202f Communications Regularly reviews Construction Progress, QA/QC, Commissioning progress, issues, and KPI metrics to report to management.u202fu202f Coordinate meetings and activities of vendor project managers including integration ofu202flessons learned.u202fu202f Manage client representatives and partners to define andu202falign onu202fscope, schedule, and budget.u202fu202f Attendu202fscheduled owner/architect/contractor (OAC) and other project meetings, andu202freportu202fas necessary.u202fu202f Report Project Progress on scope, schedule, and budget weekly or asu202frequired.u202fu202f Accountabilityu202fu202f Responsible for developing, managing, and reporting on scope, schedule of the Commissioning Process Projects. Reporting of the Commissioning process to management on a regular basis.u202fu202f Strategy and Developmentu202fu202f Manage data center commissioning project delivery strategy in alignment with the road map strategy.u202fu202f Refine practices/policies andu202fdevelopu202fmethods/techniques for driving solutions including development of commissioning procedures.u202fu202f Provides inputu202finto a long-term delivery strategy and incorporates requirements into the project execution plans.u202fu202f Vendor Management and contract complianceu202fu202f Provide Vendor oversight and performance management (Scorecard driven).u202fu202f Preparation of RFPu2019s and other project approval tools & templates.u202fu202f Qualifications Required Qualifications Relevant technical engineering experience or any of the followingu202fOR Bachelor's OR Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Reliability Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field Experience in Data Center facility maintenance, operation, construction and/or commissioning Considerable experience with Mechanical OR Electrical Test Equipment Strong proficiency in written, spoken and technical English, as all business operations and stakeholder communications are conducted in English Background Check Requirements:u202f Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:u202f Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
