KG Organization EVP Global Functions Business Unit Project Excellence Full / Part time Full-time Experience Level Experienced Professional A Snapshot of Your Day As a Project Engineering Manager (f/m/d) at Siemens Energy, you will lead a diverse team of engineering specialists in the engineering of major Power Plant and Hydrogen business initiatives – essential to energy transformation and decarbonisation. In addition, you might also contribute on High Voltage Direct Current (HVDC), Grid Access (GA) and FACTS SynCon projects as needed. The position involves close collaboration with both external and internal stakeholders on technical matters, proactive management of engineering-related risks and opportunities, and ensuring compliance with technical contract execution and documentation standards, all contributing to the success of Siemens Energy’s business portfolio.How You’ll Make an Impact
4. Key projects in line with Siemens Energy – Gas Service Solutions business portfolio, up to and including Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) of Combined Cycle Power Plants (CCPP) and Hydrogen (H2) plants in a global environment. Additionally, other technical projects and initiatives like High Voltage Direct Current projects (HVDC), Grid Access (GA) and FACTS SynCon projects may be part of that scope.
5. Engage with external business partners (customers, consultants, authorities, suppliers) and internal partners, primarily focusing on technical matters and engineering team management
6. Lead, integrate, and mentor the Engineering team, comprising diverse engineering fields (, electrical, controls & instrumentation, process, mechanical, piping, civil, plant layout, and similar)
7. Create a cohesive engineering team and pursuing common objectives in bids or in execution projects
8. Identify and handle engineering-related risks and opportunities and adhere to technical contract execution and documentation requirements
What You Bring
9. University degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Process Engineering, or a related field, along with 10 years of industry-specific experience, including at least 5 years in technical project management
10. Experience in power plants and equipment, including site and commissioning work, is a plus. Demonstrated ability in related Engineering fields from the power generation, power transmission, power distribution and preferably EPC (Engineering, Procurement and Construction) market
11. Strong customer focus, including the ability to change perspectives and adjust strategies and actions to meet the needs of a dynamic project execution environment
12. The ability to lead a globally dispersed engineering team with expertise in various fields to achieve the highest performance results
13. Flexibility and willingness to be present for limited periods (max. 25%) at customers, on sites and at 3rd parties around the globe as per project needs
14. Excellent spoken and written expression in English; additional languages are an advantage
