We are looking for a full-time position at our location near Frankfurt am Main / Germany (hybrid work) or fully remote (home office) as: Automotive Account Manager (m/f/d) The Automotive Key Account Manager’s focus will be development of strong and strategic business relationships with Automotive OEMs/Tier 1’s in the assigned region, enabling growth, development of project pipelines for Trinseo’s portfolio of products. To lead commercial relations with the assigned customers base, building trust and positioning Trinseo as the preferred supplier for current and new program developments. Managing customers expectations through key account plans, securing short and long term goals mitigating risk and expanding product sales through cross selling and value selling activities. Executing the strategy developed by the Automotive business. Therefore they should be well versed in project management methodology within the Automotive market, having a rich demonstratable background of success in a dynamic environment. Maintain & build deep relationships across functions and levels at each of the relevant OEM / Tier 1 customer. Coordinate cross functional / cross regional activities as they relate to the assigned customer. Working with the Development Teams (NBD / T&I), lead / support cross functionally, the projects to successful implementation. Strategic Account Planning Develop and execute tailored account plans that align customer goals with the company’s offerings. Include timelines, milestones, risks, and clear ownership for actions. Customer Visits driving Revenue Growth and Value Creation Drive value, upselling, and cross-selling opportunities within existing accounts. Focus on long-term customer value rather than short-term sales targets. Customer Advocacy Act as the voice of the customer internally, ensuring their needs influence product development, operations, and support. Push for changes that improve customer experience and satisfaction. Risk Management Identify potential risks to business account health early and create mitigation strategies (Volumes / Forecasts / Profitability / Account Receivables) Cross-Functional Coordination Collaborate with marketing, product, finance, and service teams to deliver a seamless experience. Institutionalize information-sharing mechanisms across departments. Performance Analysis Track account performance, analyze trends, and report insights to improve strategies. Use CRM tools effectively for data-driven decisions. Education: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field: Polymers, Chemistry, Materials Science, or Engineering. Business Administration or Marketing is also common for commercially focused role Or Relative Experience. Experience: (range of years and type of experience) > 5 years of commercial or account management experience, ideally in: Plastics, polymer solutions, or related chemical industries. Automotive or industrial applications if relevant to the company’s portfolio Engineering Plastics Market Project Management / business development/application development Communication: (verbal, written, instructional etc ) German & English language is required to effectively manage this role.
