Legal Counsel
Our client, a leading renewable energy company, is seeking a proactive Senior Legal Counsel to lead M&A transactions and provide expertise on energy law in a fast-growing sector. You will drive key acquisitions, negotiate contracts, and collaborate with internal teams and external advisors to manage legal complexities in renewable energy.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support renewable energy project acquisitions through contract negotiation and due diligence.
* Advise internal teams on legal risks, regulatory compliance, and commercial issues.
* Identify and evaluate M&A and partnership opportunities aligned with the company’s strategic goals in renewable energy projects (solar, wind, battery storage, etc.).
* Lead deal structuring, negotiation, and execution in collaboration with legal, finance, and technical experts.
* Support integration planning and execution to maximize value creation from acquisitions.
* Manage external legal counsel and coordinate cross-functional legal support.
* Engage in special projects with internal departments.
Your Profile:
* Fully qualified lawyer with two state exams.
* 4+ years’ experience in renewable energy law, M&A, or corporate law (law firm or in-house).
* Strong negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
* Fluent in English and German; additional languages a plus.
* Independent and collaborative working style.
