We are seeking a strategic leader to drive our global category management initiatives.
As Global Category Lead, you will be responsible for developing and implementing purchasing strategies aligned with stakeholders.
Key responsibilities include:
* Development of purchasing roadmaps in collaboration with internal customers.
* Identification and initiation of global and regional sourcing projects.
* Management of Regional roles based on leadership principles.
* Execution of market intelligence studies to achieve optimal supplier reduction.
* Prioritization of strategic supplier relationships based on SRM, sustainability, quality requirements.
* Contract negotiations for favorable global and regional price and framework agreements.
* Establishment of relevant KPIs to measure performance against ContiTech targets.
To succeed in this role, you will require:
* Academic degree in business administration or engineering.
* 3-5 years of professional experience in purchasing at a large company with international exposure.
* Project management experience.
* Leadership experience is mandatory.
* Proficiency in MS Office tools and SAP R/3.
* Excellent communication skills in English, with good German language skills preferred.
* Interpersonal skills and ability to work under pressure.
* Creativity, reliability, integrity, teamwork, and a global perspective.
* Will to travel approximately 30% worldwide.
