Role Overview
We are seeking a motivated and organized Administrative Assistant & Translator to support the founder of Left Land. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about social justice, has strong language skills, and enjoys a variety of administrative tasks. You will play a key role in bridging communication, managing documents, and assisting in meetings and events.
Key Responsibilities
· Translation & Interpretation: Translate documents (business plans, contracts, emails) between Azerbaijani/Turkish and German; provide interpretation during bank meetings and official appointments.
· Administrative Support: Assist with document preparation, scheduling, email correspondence, and maintaining files.
· Research & Coordination: Conduct online research on business registration, grant opportunities, and relevant topics; help coordinate meetings and events.
· Event Assistance: Support the organization of networking events, workshops, and cultural activities (on-site).
· General Support: Handle ad-hoc tasks to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
Requirements
· Language Skills: Native or fluent in Azerbaijani or Turkish; excellent command of German (at least C1 level, both written and spoken).
· Experience: Previous experience in administration, project coordination, or a similar role is highly desirable.
· Location: Must be based in Berlin and able to attend in-person meetings (e.g., bank appointments, events).
· Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and Google Workspace; strong organizational and communication skills.
· Personal Qualities: Reliable, proactive, detail-oriented, and aligned with progressive/social justice values.
What We Offer
· Compensation: €1,000/month (gross) during the initial 3-month "readiness period" (no active work required, just availability for key meetings and document translation).
· Future Employment: After 3 monts, upon company registration, a formal part-time employment contract will be offered with the 1500 (gross) monthly salary (plus social benefits).
