The “Corporate Executive GBS” department serves as the HR Business Partner for Executives (RCS Grades B–F) worldwide within the “Global Business Services (GBS)” division. It advises executives and their superiors on all HR-related matters and supports the replacement of vacant positions as well as contract design. The department is also responsible for executing the annual talent, performance, and compensation management processes.
Expert (m/f/d) 012-3 / EGr 9 (BesGr A13vz, A13/A14)
Key Responsibilities:
* Consulting for Executives (RCS Grades B–F) within the “Global Business Services (GBS)” division on HR matters related to assigned executives, including the application of HR tools, global and local regulations and policies (including civil service law), programs, and processes throughout the entire employee lifecycle (e.g., hiring, development, retention, compensation, termination), in coordination with department leadership.
* Ensuring consistent application and compliance with fundamental regulations and applicable national/international laws and guidelines in personnel matters (e.g., transfers, reorganizations, disciplinary actions).
* Preparation, execution, and follow-up of annual talent, performance, and compensation management processes for executives in the “GBS” division:
o Updating and maintaining data in HR systems and managing complex internal interfaces with local HR units worldwide.
o Monitoring process progress and providing regular status reports to support the responsible executive in the “Corporate Executives” department.
o Supporting and advising executives during these processes.
o Preparing decision templates and presentations for board members and board meetings.
o Coordinating the implementation of follow-up actions, including drafting relevant documents for executives.
o Proactively identifying and solving improvement opportunities in the above-mentioned processes and implementing improvement measures.
* Supporting selection and hiring processes for executives in the “GBS” division:
o Creating and aligning job profiles with the business unit, job evaluation in collaboration with Corporate C&B, preparing job postings (including system-based).
o Obtaining board approvals.
o Pre-screening applications and independently conducting preliminary interviews with candidates.
o Preparing and organizing selection interviews and panels, including developing interview questions and case studies with executives.
o Creating compensation and contract overviews in compliance with applicable (inter)national regulations and social security/tax requirements, partly in collaboration with local HR units and legal advisors from the “Corporate Executives” department, and preparing and supporting necessary approval processes.
o Conducting contract negotiations for executives (RCS E & F).
o Independently preparing contract documents and assignments, including assessment of social security and tax conditions.
o Acting as a direct interface to payroll (domestic & international) for implementation.
* Contact person for executives in the “GBS” division:
o Advising on questions related to their employment relationship, partly in collaboration with local HR units, the Global Mobility Team, and legal advisors from the “Corporate Executives” department.
o Creating, managing, and maintaining contract documents, including tracking and implementing contract extensions, changes, or terminations.
* Participation and/or leadership in cross-departmental or cross-divisional working groups.
* Managing interfaces and committees: UsprA, various international and local HR units, cross-divisional HR Business Partner teams, payroll, pension schemes…
* Further development of selection processes for executives in the “Corporate Executives” division, considering and applying trends in digitalization and artificial intelligence:
o Continuous development and standardization of existing processes and deriving (digital) improvement opportunities for the interview toolbox (interview guides, panels, case studies, job postings).
o Expansion of “Active Sourcing” via LinkedIn.
o Coordination and implementation of adjustment proposals in collaboration with neighboring “Corporate Executives” departments and IT.
Professional Requirements:
* Completed university degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a comparable qualification.
* Several years of professional experience in operational HR work in an international environment, preferably with a focus on executive support and consulting.
* Strong understanding of HR processes, best practices, and policies, ideally from an international corporate environment.
* Solid knowledge of labor law and individual employment contract design.
* In-depth knowledge of HR processes and policies, preferably in executive-level HR.
* Experience in applying trends in digitalization and artificial intelligence (AI) in the HR field.
* Affinity for digitalizing HR processes.
* Experience with internal HR systems and tools is an advantage, e.g., my Talent World, Comm Connect, SAP.
* Excellent German and English language skills.
