The MR Physics group in Bonn develops MRI acquisition methods to probe manifestations of neurodegenerative diseases non-invasively with high sensitivity and resolution. To this end, we are seeking an interactive and self-motivated scientist to develop novel MRI acquisition and reconstruction methods for ultra-high field MRI. The position is based within the DZNE MRI Facilities in Bonn (Venusberg Campus).
1. Successful candidates should hold a PhD in physics, medical physics, or related disciplines
2. As a prerequisite, the candidate should have experience with MRI sequence development, preferably on Siemens MRI 7T systems
3. Good programming skills in C++ and Python are expected
4. Experience in the design of parallel transmit (pTx) radiofrequency pulses would be extremely beneficial, especially with regard to the concept of universal pulses
5. Creative, highly motivated applicants who are willing to develop new MR imaging techniques are encouraged to apply
