Description Our Manager (m/f/d) – Hub Operations Management ensures that we deliver operational quality as our containers transit through our hub port. By aligning operational and asset capabilities in the hubs as well as regular performance management with the hub terminals, the position enables the smooth connection of our boxes through our network and aligns the commercial volume flows with operational requirements. Responsibilities Act as the command center in control of the operations in our defined hub ports Drive Hapag-Lloyd’s cooperation with hubs and support in setting up capacity and operational capabilities together with our Hapag-Lloyd Terminal Holding Provide direction and guidance to our local operations and commercial teams on requirements to connect containers in our transshipment ports Set up processes and interfaces with key stakeholders with clear deliverables agreed Ensure volume flow projections are aligned with terminal limitations and where needed act as escalation and decision point to avoid any operational breakdown in our hubs Drive system support to enhance visibility and decision-making process for our cooperation with hub terminals Ensure long-term planning (~ three months) and executional plan (~ four weeks) are aligned with all relevant stakeholders to allow productive hub operations Responsible for consistent operations in ports (quay side, yard and gate operation), linked with speedy turnaround of vessels and reliable transshipment activities Lead all interaction with our Hub Managers and regularly participate in performance and enhancement projects with hub terminals Support Hub Director in acting as global Lead in managing crisis and incidents impacting our container and vessel operations in our hub terminals Qualifications Experience in the shipping, terminal and/or logistics industry Strategic and analytical thinking linked with strong stakeholder management Independent decision-making and ability to lead and drive change Team player, able to engage teams and strong argumentation skills Fluent business English, both written and spoken
