Ground Systems Engineer (m/f/d)
We are looking for superstars to support us on our Argo project! Optimized for flexibility and reliability, Argo provides an end-to-end service capable of integrating with a bigger RFA launch system, as well as other launch vehicles. Its design builds on RFA ONE and Redshift heritage, utilizing already available technology and expertise. But Argo is not just a cargo capsule. It's a commitment to rebuild Europe's independent space cargo capabilities, and we want you to be a part of it.
Your Tasks
1. Design the architecture of the command and the control system
2. Oversee the full design life cycle of the ground systems, from conceptual design to implementation and operation
3. Analyse and understand needs through advanced studies, simulations, mock-ups, models, prototypes
4. Generate and maintain P&IDs, design documentation and reports
5. Define test plans and procedures
6. Work with colleagues from different departments across RFA
7. Work with external stakeholders and industry partners
Your Qualifications
8. BSc or MSc Degree in an engineering or physics field
9. 3+ years’ experience in command and control systems
10. Hands-on, operational experience is a plus
11. Experience using NX or similar 3D CAD software
12. Experience with industrial sensors and control systems
13. Experience using MS Office
14. Fluent English oral and written (all day-to-day activities are performed in English)
15. Intermediate or advanced level German is a plus
16. Capable of working independently, while prioritizing various tasks
17. Able to communicate effectively within a multidisciplinary and multicultural team
