Ottobock Patient Care IT is part of Global IT and sees itself as a central partner of our Ottobock Clinical Services Network. There, we offer customized orthopedic treatment and rehabilitation solutions for users around the world in over 400 care centers.
As a Senior IT Manager for Applications, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning, development, implementation and maintenance of the organization's software applications for Patient Care. This role requires a strategic manager with a strong technical background and excellent management skills. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams in business and Global IT to ensure the effective utilization of technology to meet business objectives.
Duties & Responsibilities
* Manage a team of ten IT professionals and foster a collaborative and innovative team culture, promoting continuous learning and development
* Develop and implement a comprehensive IT applications strategy for Patient Care aligned with the organization's goals and objectives
* Collaborate with senior leadership to understand business needs and translate them into IT application initiatives
* Oversee the full software development life cycle, from requirements gathering to deployment and ongoing support considering corporate IT security rules and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards
* Standardize the application landscape with the rollout of an integrated ERP solution
* Stay abreast of emerging technologies and trends in application development and evaluate and recommend new technologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
* Negotiate contracts and manage vendor relationships to maximize value and minimize risks and ensure seamless integration of external applications and services
Qualifications
* A Bachelor or Master degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration or a related field
* Proven experience (min. 5+ years) in a senior IT manager role with a focus on applications and operation
* Excellent project management and organizational skills
* Experience in managing budgets and resources effectively
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Excellent communication skills in both german and englisch and interpersonal skills
