EIT RawMaterials, part of the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT), is the largest global community dedicated to the raw materials sector. We are seeking a proactive RIS Project Coordinator to drive initiatives within our Regional Innovation Scheme (RIS), focusing on integrating emerging European regions into the broader European innovation ecosystem.
Role Insight
The Regional Innovation Scheme (RIS) is designed to stimulate innovation in European regions classified as moderate or emerging innovators according to the European Innovation Scoreboard. The goal is to foster collaborations that bring these regions into the broader pan-European innovation ecosystem and to incorporate new partners into EIT RawMaterials activities.
Key Responsibilities
* Project Management: Lead the planning and execution of the Cross-KIC Strategic Regional Innovations Project, ensuring all activities not only align with but also effectively reach strategic goals and targets. This involves actively managing projects to deliver measurable outcomes.
* Stakeholder Interaction: Regular interaction with a diverse range of stakeholders, including local government bodies, academic institutions, industry leaders, and innovation hubs within RIS regions. Organize and document meetings to ensure alignment and progression towards project goals.
* Daily Operations: Your day-to-day will involve managing timelines, coordinating with project partners, ensuring compliance with frameworks, and adjusting project scopes, as necessary.
* Communication and Reporting: Create and distribute content for both internal stakeholders and public channels, including social media. Prepare detailed progress reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders, ensuring transparency and timely communication.
* Risk Management and Compliance: Identify potential risks to project timelines and outcomes, proposing and implementing mitigation strategies. Maintain rigorous documentation to comply with EIT standards and requirements.
* Support for RIS Activities: In addition to managing the Cross-KIC SRI project, you will support the RIS Manager with all aspects related to the implementation of the RIS activities of EIT RawMaterials.
Candidate Profile
* Educational Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or higher.
* Professional Experience: Proven project management experience, particularly in coordination roles. Experience supporting entrepreneurs or startups is a plus.
* Communication Skills: Exceptional command of English with a proven ability to effectively communicate complex information and engage diverse audiences.
* Attitude and Soft Skills: Strong proactive, can-do attitude with a client-centric approach, necessary for working effectively in a partnership consortium involving public and private sectors.
