The Power Conversion Technology Laboratory within Huawei's Ohm Research Center (Nuremberg) is responsible for Advanced Digital Power Technology Research, Architecture Evolution Design and Strategic Technology Planning, and plays an important role in the Huawei Digital Power business in the design and development of power converters and control systems for applications such as PV Solar & Battery Energy Storage Field, Data Centers, Electric Vehicle, and Embedded Power Supply. Join us as a Student Intern – Power Electronic Converter Design (m/f/d) Your mission You will research in the state-of-the-art direction of advanced power converter topologies, modulation and control. You will conduct simulation studies in PLECS simulation tool. You will support ongoing hardware prototyping at R&D labs. You will support in implementation of various modulation & control techniques in HiL Platforms such as PLECS RT-Box. You will support in building technology platforms (tools, knowledge, testing setup) for future projects. You will be expected to support the organization of the lab environment. You will support the documentation of research findings. Your areas of expertise Currently enrolled in a Master of Science (MSc) or equivalent degree program in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a similar field Good theoretical understanding of basic power electronic topologies, power semiconductor devices, and passive components Proven strong analytical and mathematical skills Interest in power electronics, a high level of motivation, and a self-reliant working style Willingness to learn new knowledge and quickly adapt to new topics Proficiency in both written and spoken English By applying to this position, you agree with our Recruitment Privacy Statement.
