In 2024, R&D has launched a special pilot Task Force project in the Carbon Capture Utilization and Storage Domain. Now, we are opening a new phase of Industrialization and we are seeking an expert within the SMS group for a 9-month project period to provide temporary support in the development of the future Green strategy for the group. Under the leadership of Marco Guala (Central R&D), a global task force in the field of R&D is developing strategic solutions for the use and storage of carbon dioxide (CCUS). In the first project phase, analyses and evaluations were carried out leading to decisions that now need implementation and industrialization actions: we are now looking for the support of a CO₂ technologist to join our team! For the task force, we want to access the full potential of the global SMS workforce because we are convinced that we already have the best people on board for these innovations. To participate in the CCUS project, you do not have to change your department or location: in this agile concept, you are simply working in the R&D project for 9 months with 50-100 % of your working time - completely virtually. This allows you to stay in your current team while gaining valuable international experience, expanding your profile and making an important contribution to the strategic development of SMS group. Responsibilities Your tasks Basic Process calculations Drafting of technical specification Technical alignment of supplier offers Drafting of summary and detailed report analysis OPEX and CAPEX evaluation Requirements Your profile You have a degree in Chemical/Energy/Mechanical Engineering or any other Engineering discipline with physical and chemical process skills.
