We are looking for (m/f/d)
Electrician/Electronic or Mechanical Instructor for Diesel, Dual Fuel and Gas Engine Technology
located in Kiel
As a Training Instructor, the employee is responsible for providing technical training of either control and monitoring or mechanical diesel and gas engine technology for all Caterpillar Motoren Products, across all business segments (Marine, EPG, Oil and Gas) and the upcoming engine upgrade solutions. In addition, he/she will be responsible for content creation / updating as well as the continuous improvement of existing training aids.
Your Job duties: Every Day is different.
1. Provide practical and theoretical training in English (95%) or German (5%) to customer or dealer technicians as well as Caterpillar employees.
2. Implement / Conduct the practical and theoretical training at the Caterpillar Engine Training Center in Kiel, on site (international) or virtual, via Microsoft Teams.
3. Create new course content, training material (Presentations and handouts, etc.) and practical exercises.
4. Planning, developing and installation of new training equipment.
5. Willing to work on projects to develop new training tools and methods.
6. Familiarization with new technical solutions and technologies.
7. Troubleshooting, updating and modification of training engines as well as other training related systems
8. Actual training has a high focus on the practical approach of engine work with all involved parts and tools incl. safe handling. Routine in engine works is mandatory.
Your profile: What skills do you need to have?
9. Good team player and empathetic to training participants.
10. Good written and spoken English/German skills are mandatory, other languages are welcome.
11. High degree of flexibility and independent work / self-organization is required.
12. Good computer skills are mandatory / Knowledge of Microsoft Office Products required.
13. Willing to worldwide travel (10%)
Mechanical instructor:
14. Experience as a field service technician / or several years of experience working on medium speed engine (preferred MaK Engines) is required.
15. High level of confidence in working with medium engines is mandatory.
Electrical/Electronical instructor:
16. Knowledge of medium-speed diesel/gas or DF engines (Caterpillar/MaK or comparable engines)
17. High level of confidence in electrical and control engineering and the corresponding measurements.
18. Knowledge and experience of monitoring and control equipment of CAT Engines is helpful.
