Job Description
We are on the lookout for a Senior Pricing Analyst (Global Pricing) to join the Pricing Team on our journey to always deliver amazing experiences.
As a Senior Pricing Analyst within the Global Pricing Team, you will sit at the intersection of Product, Marketing, and Finance. You will be responsible for architecting, validating and sharing advanced pricing models—balancing customer affordability with sustainable unit economics (GPO). Your mission is to conceptualize next-generation pricing features and provide the statistical rigour needed to scale these globally.
1. Advanced Pricing Model Innovation: collaborate with the Data Science team in the research and development of new pricing algorithms. You will ideate and build sophisticated statistical models to generate value and calculate impact of proposed features on key metrics.
2. Causal Inference & Performance Tracking: Lead the causality analysis for pricing rollouts. You will distinguish between correlation and causation to identify true "value leakage" and recommend data-backed iterations.
3. Strategic Communication: Partner with Global Marketing and Regional Ops leads to translate complex statistical outputs into intuitive narratives that the business can act upon. You will evangelize data-driven decision making across the organization.
4. BigQuery Optimization: Support technical architecture of pricing automation by creating, optimizing SQL queries that feed pipelines.
5. Advanced Visualization & Tooling: Build accessible, creative, and engaging data visualizations and tools in Tableau/Python to facilitate access to insights and facilitate the decision making.
6. Data Stewardship & Governance: Have deep knowledge about the data catalog for all Pricing dimensions, metrics, and KPIs. Collaborate with Data Engineering and Product to ensure that experiment data is correctly logged and scalable.
7. Strategic Stakeholder Management: Act as a bridge between Central and Regional teams by translating complex technical concepts into actionable business strategies. You will influence decision-making by demystifying automation models and technical methodologies for non-technical leadership.
Qualifications
8. Experience: 3+ years (Pricing Analyst) or 5+ years (Senior Pricing Analyst) as a Pricing Analyst or a highly quantitative Data Analyst, with a strong background in Statistics, Data Science.
9. Technical Stack: Mastery of BigQuery and SQL is essential. You must be capable of building Python-based modeling pipelines and experience with GitHub.
10. Statistical Mastery: Deep expertise in causal inference, statistics, and price elasticity modeling.
11. Business Acumen: Deep understanding of unit economics. You understand how pricing models or experiments can directly affect the business.
12. Exceptional Communication: Ability to demystify multi-dimensional models and explain complex topics to non-technical stakeholders in a clear and compelling way. You’re able to influence stakeholders.
13. Proactive & Curious: A self-starter with the ability to independently deliver end-to-end solutions and a strong desire to think outside of the box and explore new data-driven possibilities.
