Position: Research Assistant
We are seeking a highly motivated PhD student to join our team working on MRI of inflammation and cancer. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in physics, computer science, or a related field and be proficient in programming languages such as C++, Matlab, or Python.
Key Responsibilities:
* Developing and implementing computer simulations of MRI contrast agents.
* Labeling and tracking immune cells in cell culture and murine models.
* Collecting, analyzing, and annotating MRI data.
* Integrating MRI and mass spectrometric imaging data into a database for quantitative analysis.
* Presenting research findings at internal meetings and international conferences.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to contribute to an innovative project focused on developing and applying a quantitative MRI approach to study immune cell dynamics in murine models of inflammation and cancer.
Qualifications:
* Master's degree in physics, computer science, biomedical imaging, or a related field.
* Strong interest in MRI, biomedical imaging, and computational analysis.
* Excellent programming skills.
* Willingness to perform cell culture and animal experiments.
* Previous experience with quantitative MRI, contrast agents, and cell tracking/labelling is advantageous.
* Motivation for scientific work and willingness to contribute to an interdisciplinary team.
* Good English communication skills; German skills are beneficial.
